Happy 14th Kid

Happy Birthday to my sweet Weston.  He's 14 years old now.  Where has the time gone?  Seriously, where?  I would love to go back in time to the days where he was carefree.  Now he's worried about football, baseball, school, girls & getting his permit next year.  He's even worried about getting a job, and a truck.  Well, maybe "worried" isn't the right word, but he's already thinking ahead.

I am proud of the young man he has grown into.  He's so thoughtful, kind hearted, sensitive & just down to earth.  He's thoughtful & sweet.  He's considerate & compassionate.  He thinks about politics and his future.  It is an understatement me saying I am proud of him, but that is the closest word I can find that is in our language.  I know he'll serve as a great leader one day, even if it is the leader of only his family (wife & children).......I know he'll be great no matter where he goes in life & what his path is.

I didn't get many photos of this darling boy for his birthday because he's at that age where he doesn't want me to take his photo & he even hides from my camera.  It's rather annoying, but it is what it is.

We took him to Buffalo Wild Wings on Saturday to watch the game & of course have some wings.  We then let him go shopping and spend some of his money that he got for his birthday!  Later that evening, my mom & step dad came over for dinner & ice cream cake to help celebrate with our sweet boy!  All in all it was a great day!

xoxo, Lela
